ASRA THE STORY SO FAR

Today on the 20th day of August , 2015 I on behalf of my fellow riders proudly announce that our group is now officially registered under Society Registration Act 1860. This announcement was long awaited by all fellow members. After a lot a deliberation things started falling in place and finally the day of reckoning has arrived.
Here is the official document we all longed to see.
It all started in the month of February , 2011 when a group of amateur Enfield bikers went on a ride from Lucknow to Bithoor. Among them four bikers Mr Piyush Gupta , Mr Somendra Banerjee , Mr Prashant Tewari and Mr Mayank Tewari did some brainstorming and came up with an idea to form an Enfield rider group to provide a platform for budding adventure bikers to join for rides and spread the spirit of brotherhood .
Here are our fantastic four .
Mr Piyush Gupta

Mr Somendra Banerjee

Mr Prashant Tewari

Mr Mayank Tiwari

The ride and the group of bikers on that memorable ride when ASR originally took shape .
After the group was formed , given a name , Mr Manmohan Singh Bashera joined the group and alongwith Mr Piyush Gupta took up the cudgels of development and day to day functioning of the group.
A thought of registering the group originated but due to certain factors registration somehow did not take shape.
After organising rides for so many years it was thought over to change a leisure rider group to a more serious group where members will look forward to spread social messages , look after welfare of the society and organise charitable programs alongwith adventure rides which will beour main area of interest. Mr Ritesh Singh and Mr Manmohan Singh Bashera
took the initiative to register the group and the day of reckoning has finally arrived.
Kudos to our founder members and to all who has lent support for the cause.

Hi everyone , I am back again with report of our Independence Day Ride dubbed as "Ride for the nation"
Patriotic fervour gripped our fellow riders on Independence Day. Each and everyone wore patriotism on their sleeves as they gathered at Royal Enfield Brand Store sharp at 8.15 A.M. After a short briefing , it was time for felicitation of Ladakh returned riders who were each presented with customised T-shirts with the slogan "Ladakh , I got Leh'ed". After that we had our customary flag hoisting at 8.45 A.M.
After flag hoisting riders proceeded towards Polytechnic Chouraha en route faizabad Road and then proceeded towards 1090 helpline chouraha where they had a small photo session.

From 1090 helpline riders proceeded towards the east terrace of famous heritage building Constantia of La Martiniere College where a group of riders from Delhi in the name of "Soul Thumpers" were waiting to greet them. After exchange of pleasantries , Principal of La Martiniere College , Mr Carlyle Mcfarland addressed the riders and welcomed them.

Students of La Martiniere thoroughly enjoyed the company of riders and riders also complimented the same.

Then riders proceeded to Smritika , a war memorial to pay homage to our martyrs . After that cold drinks was served courtesy Ritesh Singh , Royal Enfield Brand Store Manager. Another round of photo session took place

From Smritika riders proceeded towards Brand Store via Cantonment and Hazratganj. The ride culminated at brand store at 12.30 P.M where lunch packets sponsored by Royal Enfield were provided to all riders .
There was a gathering of around 100 riders which makes it one of the biggest moment of this years ride calender.
Thanks to all who made the event a success.

We start our blog with our breakfast ride to a roadside dhaba on Faizabad Road for our second GBM to discuss various agenda related to our rider group and also listen to the experiences of our fellow riders who went on Laddakh ride last month .
We started our ride from Royal Enfield Brand Store sharp at 9 'o' clock after having a cup of tea at roadside tea stall.

We proceeded on route faizabad road through safedabad , barabanki onto a roadside dhaba at rasauli.

These photos are courtesy our most beloved wicked vikky bhai whose was repeatedly zipping ahead to get the best shots of us in action.
We reached the dhaba and after some fun and frolic got down to business of discussing our agendas and sharing experiences of rides

After treating ourselves with sumptuous breakfast of aloo parathas followed by open forum we made our way back to our starting point .
On the way it started raining heavily and we took shelter under the shed of Mercedes Benz showroom which gave us wonderful opportunity to get ourselves clicked with the dream cars .

It was just the end we wanted of our Sunday breakfast ride .
Bye all take care and keep thumping.
